Perfect Peace

Welcome to Perfect Peace!

This purpose of this blog is to encourage my readers to please the Lord in all things and learn how to rightly abide in Jesus.  For if we are pleasing ourselves and are detached from the Vine, we will not be producing any fruit that remains for all of eternity, and our lives will continue on without purpose or peace.

The first post of this blog is founded upon my life verse - Isaiah 26:3.  This verse is a reminder to me and to all who read my blog to choose to focus their thoughts on the Lord.  Years ago, the Lord quickened this verse to my heart and showed me His way (and the only way) to have perfect peace all day-every day of my life is to choose Him over the things of this world.  Isaiah 26:3 declares, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (NKJV).  What a beautiful promise from the Word!  A promise that the world cannot offer.

How amazing to consider that when we choose to focus our thoughts on Jesus, He will give us that peace that passes understanding.  Jesus said in John 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (NKJV).  As Christians, we must learn to take our thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor. 10:5) and choose to meditate on the things of God.

How much peace do you have right now?  Are you at perfect peace?  What thoughts are filling your mind?  I exhort you to choose right now to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and keep your mind stayed on the Lord.  His peace that passes understanding is something He wants you to have, all you have to do is choose to fix your mind on Christ.

May the washing of water by the Word give you renewed strength and purpose for today.

Because of Jesus,

~Kathy
